A COSTCO SITE OVERHAUL WITH CLASS
Springs Window Fashions works with Costco to give multiple beautiful window solution options, through their Bali and Graber brands, with deals that cannot be ignored. Our objective was simple: give Costco customers an introduction to the Graber brand and products as well as an easy way to schedule an appointment with a dealer.

LEARNING FROM THOSE WHO DO IT WELL, AND MAKING IT GREAT
In our pursuit of making an even easier experience, we looked at those who were already succeeding. Companies like Shaw and Lennox were researched heavily in our research process. The site was originally made in Java, and we wanted to move it over to EpiServer. I talked one-on-one with our developer for this project regularly to make sure that we were including a feasible implementation plan along the way.

CREATING SOMETHING AS BIG AS IT IS SMALL
After pages of research sketches and notes later, we knew a hierarchy and site map that we were confident would outperform the current site. We knew a content hierarchy we wanted to follow, had a brand standard to guide us on our way, and gave it a go. We also decided to shrink down the site significantly in size without sacrificing any of the content.

LESS PAGES WITH MORE CONSISTENCY, SOUNDS SCARY, RIGHT?
It isn’t if your site map includes adding an additional navigation. Sites with two separate navigations can be extremely overwhelming, especially when looking at products and trying to find exactly what you are looking for.

SITE SCHEDULED TO GO LIVE BY THE END OF 2019
After all of our efforts, the site will begin development in September 2019. Currently the site gains 30,000 views monthly.
This site was a great opportunity to learn more about making a microsites as well as information architecture.
